Exciting News for New Students: UNILORIN Resumption Update
The University of Ilorin’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, has given an assuring message to parents and those interested in the university. He announced that all newly accepted students will start their academic journey in October of this year.
Prof. Egbewole shared this positive update during an unplanned visit to UNILORIN FM 89.3, the official radio station of the university. He highlighted that the admission process is nearly complete, with most successful candidates already clearing their admission by paying necessary fees.
Although the exact number of students admitted wasn’t mentioned, Prof. Egbewole pointed out that the admission process was a success. He emphasized the university’s popularity, with a large number of applicants vying for a spot at the University of Ilorin.
Offering his congratulations to the newly admitted students, the Vice Chancellor encouraged them to uphold good behavior and adhere to the university’s rules. He urged them to represent their homes and parents as proud ambassadors of the institution.
As a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Prof. Egbewole also directed the university’s staff and existing students to align with his administration’s vision. He stated that the university’s goal of becoming the premier institution in Nigeria, one of the top ten in Africa, and among the world’s top 500 can be achieved through collective effort.
